MettaGO

Documentation

MettaGO is a web-based mobile application that centralizes your geospatial workflow. In field: capture points and view your project in real time. In office: process data, analyze geometries, upload models, and coordinate with your team in seconds.

If you have any questions that are beyond the scope of this documentation, Please feel free to contact our Mettatec X5 Support contact.

Connection with X5 devices

For Bluetooth GNSS connection, turn on or connect your X5. The Bluetooth signal name is represented by the device model (X5R, X5RT, X5M or X5M Pro) followed by the MAC address (which are 4 digits in hexadecimal), for example: X5R 34AD. If this is the first time you connect the device, it will appear in "New devices". Click on your device and accept the pair permission. Once paired, the app will detect the X5 on the list of "Linked devices".

  • Make sure your NET led is blinking indicating Bluetooth availability.
  • Click your X5 Device on the "Linked devices" list.
  • You will enter the device options. Now you can go to the GNSS Status option for more information about the actual state of your X5 Device.

Workflow summary of MettaGO

The MettaGO workflow begins with the creation of a new project from the web platform or mobile app, where users can define project details and spatial reference settings.

  • In the mobile app, users capture field data (points, lines, polygons) with GNSS support and store it locally.
  • Whenever internet connectivity is available, data is synchronized automatically with the central database using one single button in the mobile app.
  • Collected data is then accessible from the web platform for visualization, geoprocessing, post-processing (PPK), and project management.
  • This continuous synchronization ensures real-time collaboration between field and office teams.
